Crystal And Julia Collecting TwinberriesText Box: Twinberry Picking

Here are a few pictures from our two Twinberry picking outings in support of the North Coast Land Conservancy.  Our harvest trip took us on the Lewis & Clark river.  We collected more than 2 quarts of berries on the first trip.  Our second trip brought the total to over 1 gallon of Twinberries.  The fruit will be taken to a nursery where the seeds are extracted and planted.  There are 6 seeds to a berry so we collected enough to produce thousands of new plants!  In 3 years the seedlings will be ready to be planted by the NCLC in its effort to restore wetland with native plants.  Be sure to watch the calendar page for other activities in support of the NCLC.
