About the Hostel
Seaside hostel is a smoke-free environment so you can enjoy the crisp sea breeze in the peace of our facility. Our garden is blossoming with fresh herbs for you to use in our large home kitchen. The staff is very friendly and always willing to assist. When you are here, we are here with you; as this is our home, we invite you to make yourself at home too.
The hostel has spacious seating and standing area located right on the Necanicum River. Walk three blocks and you find yourself on the white sand connecting to the Pacific Ocean, walk six blocks to the heart of downtown Seaside lined with good food eateries and exciting activities.
espresso bar
Our staff is trained to make the finest Vietnamese coffee anytime you desire and it is absolutely delicious! We also have a nice selection of herbal teas and fresh catnip tea from our garden, very calming any time.
canoe & kayak rentals
We slide kayaks and canoes into the river from our put-in, the staff will be happy to see you off on a voyage along the gentle currents. Life jackets and whistles are available for all body types and ages.
common kitchen
We have a warm spacious kitchen with the equipment necessary for about any prepared food including a bread maker, waffle iron, crock pot and many other tools all at your disposal. The free food shelf is always stocked with an assortment of items, we also have a fridge and shelves for your food. Complementary eggs and pancake mix is available every morning!
social/music room/fireplace
The community living room is furnished with comfortable chairs and couches, available all night and day. We have many musical instruments, many books and many board games for your enjoyment. This is a great place to strike up conversation with your fellow hostelers!
decks/garden/fire-pit
Qi-gong is practiced in the mornings on the fresh cut and maintained lawns right next to the blooming garden. The seats facing the river is perfect for deep breathing and relaxing into peace, let the sound of the river, the birds and the jumping fish seep into settled mind. We have a well located fire pit and wood available to keep that fire roaring all night!
